Hello! My name is Cristina (yes, without the h).

I am student at Malmö University, Sweden, where I am enrolled in the English Studies programme. This is my last academic year with Malmö University, from which I am spending my first semester at Newcastle University, UK, as an exchange student. The following semester I will be working on my BA paper at my home university. After that, I plan to apply for a Master’s programme at either Lund University, Sweden; or Copenhagen University, Denmark.

I was always curious about the English language whether it was about its dynamics and how it affects the world, or its wonderful history and literature. I find it fascinating how it became today’s lingua franca, and how much the media is somewhat dependent on it. Literature is my greatest passion and I equally enjoy British and American authors. I find the classic British literature wonderful, and I am fascinated about the modernist period in literature.

Studying abroad has been a long dream of mine, especially in England, so I am thankful to have the opportunity and hope to make the most of it. I hope the information on my blog to be useful for my readers and in the same time a relaxed and fun read.

When I am not blogging here I am probably writing nonsense on my original and main blog blogitalic.net , writing draft after draft of short stories nobody ever reads, or practice my skills with the camera (Flickr link provided on bolditalic.net)
